We specialize in authentic Mexican cuisine. Our tortillas are hand made. Some of our more popular breakfast items include dishes like chorizo and eggs, chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. For lunch, a popular item is our enchiladas and for dinner chile verde. We serve authentic soups including menudo and birria. We have a wide variety of items for you to choose from.

History

Established in 1985.
After working in the restaurant business for some time, Olivia decided to start her own business. She borrowed some money and opened up her own place in Old Town Salinas. It was a very small place that allowed her to serve every customer that came in. With hard work and grit Olivia has made Olivia's Cafe what it is today. Olivia's Cafe has been at the current location since 2001.

Olivia E.
Olivia is originally from Mexico from a town called Coalcoman in the state of Michoacan. She came here in search of the American dream. Along with her husband and family they stayed with relatives for a while until they were on their feet. Determined to work for herself and ambitious, she started her own business.

  This little hidden gem is one of the best Mexican places i have even been to. Just one woman (Olivia) working here and she knows how to cook. She is pleasent and provided great service, but its her food that truly shines. Don't be intimidated by the decor and atmosphere the food here is fantastic. The chips are freshly fried, salsa is fresh and spicy and the chicken mole is spiced perfectly while the chicken falls off the bone. Is come back here in a heartbeat.

  We stopped by because are normal place was closed,we'll they say everything for a reason, because this is are new place, the food was so good and super fresh, they cook there tortillas and tortilla shells handmade and fresh

  Great food, price, service , fresh tortillas, owners always there for authentic cuisine. Just a great place in a terrible location.
